The SEAT Leon Eurocup is equally successful, counting among the most attractive single-brand trophy series in Europe. In this, its third year, the starting slots have once again been long booked out. The 2016 race calendar comprises seven dates on Europe’s best race tracks.
Races 1 & 2
The Portuguese track, with 4360 meters located near the city of Estoril, hosted again the SEAT León Eurocup Eurocup after 2008 and 2015 editions. It is a technical and selective track, well known to most drivers, and has a long main straight, marked slopes and often affected by strong winds, characteristic of the area.
Races 3 & 4
Built in what was an airfield during the Second World War, the Silverstone circuit is one of the fastest tracks in Europe. Despite recent renovations, it continues to have extremely fast curves on a completely flat track of 5.901 meters, near Northampton, central England. Silverstone is a classical venue for the SEAT Leon Eurocup.
Races 5 & 6
The French track, with a plot of 5,861 meters and located near the city of Marseille hosts for a second time a meeting of the SEAT León Eurocup. This is one of the tracks with more history of the continent and despite several changes maintains its character, special athmosphere. Is a very fast track and in which high top speeds are achieved.
Races 7 & 8
The Mugello circuit is a new venue for the SEAT León Eurocup. Located in the heart of Tuscany and embedded in a valley where high temperatures are usually protagonists, the Mugello circuit of 5.245 meters, has an extremely fast track. The adaptability of drivers and teams to mark the development of the races.
Races 9 & 10
This circuit of 4,300 meters and fitted in the mountainous region of Styria, is new in this year’s calendar of the SEAT León Eurocup and impresses with very steep slopes that require maximum work to engine and brakes. It is one of the most modern facilities in Europe and is also a track where the weather, always very variable, has a major role.
Races 11 & 12
In this track of 5.148 meters in the north of Germany, began the 2014 SEAT León Eurocup season and again in 2015 in a very wide track that gives drivers numerous options for overtakings. It has remarkable slopes and is generally a very fast track. It is also a landmark since its old circuit, the Nordschleife is one of the most historical places of motorsport.
Races 13 & 14
Scenario for a brilliant end of the SEAT León Eurocup SEAT 2014 and 2015, the circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya with 4.627 meters and situated close to the city of Barcelona, it is considered one of the most technical tracks in Europe and will close the Eurocup for the third consecutive year. Is the ideal place for its proximity to the SEAT facilities, to turn into a big party the last meeting of the year.
