In 2010 the Supercopa SEAT León will be going into another season of an event that which over the years has become one of the most successful single-brand championships in the history of Spanish motor racing. Its success both in the field of sports and attracting entries for the 2009 season proves the validity of an approach capable of maintaining the interest of participants in even the most adverse circumstances.
In 2010 the Supercopa will be doing the rounds of the main Spanish circuits (Madrid, Jerez, Catalonia and Valencia, as well as the new circuit in Navarre) in addition to Portimao in Portugal.
The most attractive features of the Supercopa SEAT León have been maintained unchanged – over half a million euros in prize money, stable technical and sports rules and regulations, plus technical and commercial support from SEAT Sport personnel.
Nor are there changes in arrangements for the meetings themselves – two seven-lap races on the Saturday and a single 14-lap race on the Sunday, with the same points system. By organising the Supercopa SEAT León 2010, SEAT Sport aims to repeat its success in 2009, attracting an average of 35 cars per meet, with drivers from nine countries and twenty teams from six different countries on the starting grid.
